    Great review. Honestly - I was thinking about dropping using BENQ due to the common issue my PD2700U has with connecting to Macbooks (every few weeks it flickers and becomes unusable for the rest of the day until it calms down!). But kind of tempted to stay - for these colour matching features.

    So Generative Ai is just producing HDR effect images, that takes a person 5min to convert an image/art in photoshop to have same visual dynamic. haha! While i think it's crucial to keep learning and trying digital media programs and technique innovations. This type of work ends up wasting more time trying to get Ai to generate the desired result. While also improving Ai skills and decreasing a creative professionals mind power & work flow, then if just did it yourself. Creative professionals and artist have been up against the devaluation of skills/talent/knowledge/experience for centuries. Now ,why would one want to aid in the continuation of such a thing in their own career?

    I like the concept, can you bulk upload images or link my pinterest boards? And looks like documents can be added too what about websites? Can this work like obsidian as a second brain? And what's the storage location/ limit? I assume is cloud based. I don't want my photos and other material used for training, how to make sure it's private? Also, how much extra power and water is used for processing by the "invisible" Ai ? They are never transparent on that.

    • @YesImaDesigner
      @YesImaDesigner 2 дня назад

      Great questions! You can save websites, I showed an example in the video. It's all cloud storage, but they guarantee that they don't use any of your content for tracking or training AI. They are very big on privacy, that's one of their main differentiators. The storage limit depends on your subscription.

    its gonna be funny in like 10 years when this becomes a nothing burger. "Photography is killing art" "autotune is killing art" "photoshop is ruining art". "oh but this is looking to replace artists not assist them" yeah because that wasn't said about all the others "with photography you don't have to have any skill just point and click the portrait painter is dead" "with autotune you don't even have to be able to sing anymore the singer is dead" "with photoshop you cant trust any images ever again" generic scare tactics. No one is gonna buy Leonardo DaVinci Ai art. Your art which is portrayed in the form of digital media is used to express your ideas which are you art. Something just happening to be digital media is not art. If your ideas of "a bowl of fruit drawn really well" then your not making a living with art. The ability to question and make others thing is what will make your art have value and Duchamp and his "Fountain" piece highlights this. The object itself is worthless but the discussion around it isnt and ironically the parallel of that piece original intention to this ai art is comical.

    Sure, it feels great to say that AI is being developed to "shift paradigms" and "make technology more accessible for everyone" and "create worlds we couldn't even imagine before." But, the reality is the spread of AI is being driven hard for the sole purpose of shifting, not paradigms, but enormous amounts of money to the few people on earth who cannot possibly spend what they already have. And everybody - EVERYBODY! - knows this. The phrases I keep hearing are that “AI will solve global warming and cure cancer - just you wait and see” and “AI will never reach the level of human thought or be like a human!” So, why wouldn’t we just blithely allow such a miraculous algorithm to rapidly develop itself and handle everything else in the meantime? What's wrong with sitting back and letting science and technology [two disciplines I've long been a fan and proponent of] create our websites and buildings and ad layouts and video games and movies and music and so on? What could possibly be wrong with that? Of course, sitting back and allowing this "progress" to roll on unchecked would require us to ignore the very REAL reality that global warming and a whole lot of cancers are the direct result of letting science and technology (and a whole lot of greed) "handle" everything. There is, here on the Internet ironically, a growing distrust of modernity, a burgeoning subculture of techno-phobia that’s fighting back against all this AI advancement. This is a bizarre and dangerous spiral when you think about it. For many years, we "yay-science" people have championed the 97% of scientists who insist we’ve broken our climate. And anti-science morons have bleated “nuh-uh!!!” and rolled coal in their F150s. But it was, after all, science (and a whole lot of greed) that broke our climate. Now, here I am bleating “nuh-uh” at all this rudderless adoption of AI frightbots. Talk about a shifted paradigm! It’s getting confusing. Just remember I told you so.

    How to you keep a [colour] highlighted word in one of those titles like you have with Creative Adventures being both black and grey? Whenever I use the empty character style for Running Header it changes all those Character Style elements within the titles. The fonts obviously stay because they're made in paragraph styles, but the special character elements obviously don't because it gets overridden by the running head character style

    Hello, thank you so much for this Tutorial, I learned so much! I have a question though: I'm using the first mode with the scatter brush and the draw inside tool. Now if I have an artwork with multiple shapes, that I am applying this same technique. And I would like to make color variations of the same artwork. Is there a way how I can for example put all the texture brushstrokes into one layer in order to change the color of all the paths at once and not having to select each individual patch and change the color. Thank you so much in advance for your answer. I appreciate it a lot. :)

    I understand everything, but there is no need to be a hypocrite over the possibility of losing your job. AI can copy, but in practice this does not happen. Because its memory is too small to remember the entire set of data. Just as if his memory were sufficient for this, he would not be able to create that variety of pictures (just as a person who has memorized the answers will not be able to answer new questions). Those cases when the paintings are too similar between the artist and the AI, it is either a set of promts that was specially selected or someone specially copied your work using AI.

    To be fair, lots of modern Art don't contain much emotion or something the artist want to transport. And AI Art has (for now) the problem to get the exact composition, content and style you want to achive. But i was non the less able to create some AI Pictures (with lots of itterations), some people stopped and ask questions about it. I newer saw the rendering process of an image as the most creative part of my pictures. The most creative Part for me was allways to get the vision of the picture/film and the rest was 'just' the skill to render it as fast as possible. I am really happy that AI helps me to speed up the Rendering of the Images/Films.

    1. just like science starts with good intention it mostly goes the opposite way. see war and big pharma.. profits. something that should heal you should'nt keep you sick or dependant. 2. having a massive resource made of thousands of years of human results (art, literature, science, etc) it's still mind blowing to have access to almost everything and compile new ideas or give them a shape. yeah, the downside is this contest for $ (i'll remind you that there was no free tutorial back in my day). to be able to get in seconds something that you can think of.. fast sketching. just like i skipped the classic posing for my paintings and just went faster by having a quick photoshooting with my model. was that cheating? 3. i'm 41 yo and for more than 30 years i;ve been going on so many types of art that AI is to me like having an assistant and just delegating prompts. i have experience in digital art (illustration, fractal art), musc and songwriting, photography, airbrush work, glass, resin, wood and a few more). 4. artists will not be replaced, just filtered. this is how the market works. getting flooded by AI will just increase handmade's value. no matter how advanced an AI piece would get 5. should i be upset for having tens of thousands of my images ripped and marketed? our info is out there on every click so..

    Sorry to play devils advocate, but didn't artists (specifically Painters) complain that their livelihoods would be gone when photography came along, it didn't happen. I am not saying AI "Art" is right or wrong, there are people who can't draw or paint to save their lives no matter how much they practice (me included), and they derive pleasure from creating/prompting in Midjourney or other AI sites, and based on some of the comments here you are happy to take that little bit of pleasure away from them.

    It's not theft when you train a Large Language Model on all human literature? Is it not also theft if you train an AI on human faces from public records? I think it's tough that artists are being given the short end of a stick that was short to begin with. It's tough that society doesn't care about visual static arts as much as they care about cinema. I'm sorry but, making a living as an artist was always going to be like ice-skating up hill. You have to either be so shockingly talented AND have an in AND have a safety net (because for all intents and purposes, artists don't get hired, they get a freelance gig. Like being a ride-sharing-app driver. It's horrible being an artist for many many reasons. I think the technology will have a net positive effect on society and the economy, and more people benefit than do not, and there is not necessarily a cost or damage to artists. I think artists will have to do the work of AI-proofing their talent, but perhaps it might be easier to just take advantage of the new tools, that we artists all contributed to, albeit unwittingly. So if you can't beat em, join em. I believe artists can use these tools better than a typical laymen. It would make so many things easier for artists and make something that a layman can't with the same tools.

    Thank you for filling in the blanks and having the argue-stretch for me up to this point. It's hard to know where to begin. I value the process of nearly 60 years that has had me draw, learn, try, fail, master most mediums, 2D and 3D, teach art, design and illustration for 21 years, loose my creative mojo, and find it again in liberated ways. This journey of depth and meaning that a human undertakes can not be replicated by anyone, least of all AI. It's called 'LIFE', and each one of us has a unique fingerprint and experience of it. People will get better at spotting AI art because sameness begets sameness, and lack of meaning contains no nourishment. Vision is something else entirely. Humans are the future.

    I agree with the main premise of the video and I think that companies should be paying out royalties for copywritten images used in generation. Something like the way Spotify pays artists for each song played would be a good starting point. However, I feel it's disingenius to state that using AI generators is like torrenting, espectially after establishing that other generative programs are using their own libraries of non-copywritten material. It's also depressing to me that people wouldn't be on board with plebs have access to programs that would allow them to put their inner creative vision into images or videos. How many truly innovative ideas are we missing out on because they are stuck in the head of a trained teacher instead of a director or trained artist?
